Hello Heroines!
I've been fighting to keep this fantastic event secret for the longest time and well, thankfully I'd uni to deal with so it was easier to not spill this secret!
Today, I've the honour of swatching and reviewing these two new gorgeous piCture pOlish shades - they will be released today on their main website and on their network!
Without further ado, I bring you Kryptonite!
Kryptonite is the brainchild of Cathy from More Nail Polish. I love Cathy and her blog. She produces the most amazing swatches and well, she's Australian.
Kryptonite is a gorgeous emerald jelly that's chockful of these amazing Ozotic-ish particles.
Look at those holo particles dancing in the sun's rays!
I love emerald, so this is a no-brainer - I love it.
This was three easy, effortless coats of Kryptonite, swatched with a base and top coat because I always use protection and you should too!
I love the amazing depth of this polish, I can drown by staring at it. And stare I will, because it's gorgeous.
The formula was a typical piCture pOlish jelly - streaky on its first coat before slowly building up to opacity on its third. Of course, you should always wait in between coats to reduce dragging.
One last photo, so that you know just how much you need it.
And now for Tease!
As you know, pink isn't exactly my favourite shade so I was rather apprehensive when I first laid eyes on Tease.
This was two coats of Tease, only because I wanted to see if it would look better with two. it was opaque at one. Base coat, check. Top coat, check.
Tease is one of the new Mesh shades and Mesh is probably a good word for it because I can't even begin to describe it!
It isn't a glassfleck although the particles are larger than normal shimmer particles. It isn't a metallic nor is it a glitter. Just look at how amazingly multidimensional it is!
Here it is in the sun. It takes my breath away.
It looks so different from every angle, I can't explain it.
Definitely a hot pink I'd wear. It's got attitude.
Here it is in the shade, because I was curious.
It looks more subdued and significantly more silver here.
I've been looking at the teasers on the piCture pOlish Facebook page and I've no doubt that I'm gonna have to get most of the new shades! I'm always placing orders on their website so I'm pretty sure the girls know me by now but they totally deserve all the business they're getting. They've fantastic customer service and their shades are always unique and amazing. Their formulae are usually fantastic too.
They've changed the black prints on their bottles to white for dark shades so that you can actually see the names of the shades and I think that that's a brilliant idea!
They've also included QR codes on the sides of the bottles so you can actually scan them using the QR readers on your phones and it'll give you all the information you need and can possibly want. I totally need to download a QR reader so I can try it out!
piCture pOlish retails on their website and also on the websites of their network members. Retail prices may differ. Check out their Facebook page, Twitter account and Pinterest account! They're always really friendly and ready to help if you ever need anything.
xx
Nicole
PS. These shades were sent for review but that in no way affected my review because I really honestly love piCture pOlish THAT much.
